Is Peruvian coffee good?

Usually, a mildly acid cup, light bodied but flavourful & aromatic. Peruvian coffee are thought of as a good blender due to its pleasant but understated character. The Cuzco location, especially the Urubamba Valley, also cultivates renound wet-processed coffee. The highest grade is AAA.

Is Peruvian coffee a dark roast?

Peruvian beans can be a dark roast but do not need to be. lighter or darker roast is dependent on the bean roaster after the coffee has been farmed. Peruvian coffee is suited to both light & dark roasting.

Is Peruvian Coffee low acid?

The acidity of a coffee is in part due to the growing area and partly influenced by the way a bean is processed & roasted. Brazilian, Peruvian, Kenyan and Ethiopian beans falls into this category. The coffees that are less in acidity, such as Sumatra, are farmed at lower elevations.

Peruvian coffee vs Colombian

Both beans exhibit a simple & balanced flavour. Peruvian coffee is less thick as Colombian, instead with a medium mouthfeel. Peruvian coffee is also medium in acidity and lacks the aromatic quality of a Colombian beans.

Is Peru Coffee arabica or robusta?

Arabica is the dominant coffee crop:

70% of which is Typica (Typica is an original Arabica type that is a tall & leggy small yield plant but produces excellent qualities, typically very sweet & clean);
20% is Caturra (Caturra is a natural mutation of the Bourbon coffee strain that was originally found in Brazil in 1937, considered to be the 1st naturally occurring mutation ever discovered); and
the rest are other types.

About 75% of the coffee cultivating area is at an altitude range of 1,000 to 1800 m.

Low altitude farms in Peru, like those found around the municipality of Nambale close to the border with Peru & Ecuador, usually produce coffee with mild acidity, medium body, & smooth notes of nuts, flowers, & gentle fruit.
