Such altitudes slow down the fast growth of coffee. Since the coffee plants grow at a slower rate, they have increased time to soak in all the nutrients in the earth. With the local climate, the Yirgacheffe also plays a large influence; the berries can develop a more robust flavour.

Ethiopian Yirga Cheffe coffee is characterized by its bright acidity and the clean & complex floral notes in its aroma. At times, the aroma might even show a hint of coconut. Some Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee types exhibit notes of citrus & tangerine.

Yirgacheffe coffee is considered to be the best coffee produced in the south region of Ethiopia & also holds its own alongside other coffee types from other areas.

Single-origin coffee is coffee that is grown from a small & specific location in the world. Many coffee connoisseurs do believe that a single origin coffee is, in fact, better than other varieties of coffee as it is purer and more stable in taste.
