FAQs

Colombian Coffee exhibits a mild acidity & a robust caramel sweetness, often with a nut undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian beans. They have the most distinct coffee flavour in North America, being sweet & medium-bodied.

It is possible to produce strong Colombian coffee in comparison to other coffee types. The strength of the coffee will depend on the processing, roasting and brewing process. Therefore, Colombian coffee is only stronger if it is prepared to be strong.  Increased proportions of lower-quality beans produce a bitter brew, yet Colombian coffee maintains its flavour profile even when pushed via more rigorous and vigorous brewing processes.

These beans produce a flavour that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There can be also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the taste profile.

Colombian coffee is among one the best in the world. Colombia has a long history of culturing Arabica coffee beans, and the country’s particular topography makes it ideal for making a delicious, top quality drink. The coffee is known accross the world for its taste and the destinctive mild but rich aroma that rises from each brew. That could explain why they have been cultivating coffee for ~200 years, & it’s been their highest export for the majority of that time.

Many people regard Costa Rican coffee as the best in Central America. Elevation ratings are assigned to Costa Rican beans, with the highest rated beans grown at the greatest elevation. These beans are referred to as “strictly high grown”.

In a little pot, bring water & panela to a boil. Panela is a product that is produced with sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is sold in blocks or grated & the flavour is similar to that of brown sugar. Decrease heat to low and cook for 30 minutes, stir occationally to melt panela.

In a tiny French press, put the ground coffee beans. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the brim of the French press.

allow it to stand for 4 minutes, stirring once during the time. Push down the French press and pour the coffee straight away.

Colombian coffee beans are best as a dark roast.  This because of the fuller, floral taste, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are just as tasty. While keeping the bean’s taste, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The tastes and smells of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s growing conditions and processes make it thought to be the best by many people, especially due to its distinct taste. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce tasty coffee with outstanding quality at high altitudes. They are then naturally processed on little farms by hand. The high elevation produces a nicer tasting coffee bean. Because of its favourable meteorological attributes, Colombia coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, and chocolaty taste.

The caffeine concentration of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffees. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is a little bit greater than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is small & may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety and degree of roasting, top quality Colombian Arabica coffee has 30-50 mg per each espresso serving & up to 200 mg in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian beans are among the most well-known and popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied taste that is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust & balanced flavours than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also very tasty coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried under the sun for a few days or until the moisture amount gets to about 10 percent. This helps in the bean’s drying and prepares it for hulling. Sumatran coffee stays a lot less time in the sunshine. Sumatran coffee is hulled with substantially greater water amount, at times as much as 20 percent.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.
