FAQs

Colombian Coffee exhibits a mild acidity and a robust caramel sweetness, occationally with a nutty undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffee. They have the most well known coffee flavour in North America, that of sweet & medium-bodied.

It is possible to make strong Colombian coffee compared to other coffee. The strength of the coffee can be altered by the processing, roasting & brewing methods. Thus, Colombian coffee is just stronger if it is made to be stronger.  Higher percentage of lower-quality beans make a bitter brew, but Colombian coffee keeps its taste integrity even when pushed via more rigorous and vigorous brewing methods.

These coffee beans provide a drink that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, and dark chocolate in the flavour profile.

Colombian coffee is among one the finest in the world. Colombia has a long history of producing Arabica coffee beans, & their particular topography makes it perfect for making a delicious, high-quality drink. The coffee is renowned accross the globe for its taste & the destinctive mild but rich aroma which comes from each brew. That may explain why they have been growing coffee for about 200 years, and it’s been their highest export for the majority of that time.

Most people regard Costa Rican coffee as the top one in Central America. Altitude classes are given to Costa Rican beans, with the highest-rated beans cultivated at the highest elevation. These beans are referred to as “strictly high grown”.

In a small pot, boil water and panela. Panela is a product that is produced with sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is marketed in blocks or grated & the flavour is similar to that of brown sugar. Reduce heat to low & simmer for 30 minutes, occasionally stirring to melt panela.

In a little French press, put the ground coffee beans. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it reaches the brim of the French press.

allow it to stand for four min, stirring once during the time. Push down the French press and pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee beans are most suited for a dark roast.  This because of the fuller, floral flavour, however light roasts made from Colombian beans are equally delicious. While keeping the bean’s flavour, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The flavours & smells of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s producing conditions and processes make it considered to be the best by a lot of people, particually due to its distinct flavour. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce tasty coffee with outstanding quality at higher elevations. They are then naturally prepared on little farms by hand. The higher elevation produces a nicer tasting bean. Because of its favourable meteorological characteristics, Colombian coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, and chocolaty taste.

The caffeine content of Colombian coffee is comparable to that of other coffee varieties. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is a little bit greater than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor & may not be noticable. Depending on the sub-variety & degree of roasting, high-quality Colombian Arabica coffee contains 30-50 milligrams per single espresso serving and up to 200 milligrams in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian beans are among the most well-known and popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied taste that is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust and balanced flavours than for their particular flavour profile. Guatemala coffee is also very tasty coffee.

    • The hulling process

Colombian coffee beans are dried under the sun for a few days or until the moisture content reaches around 10%. This helps in the bean’s drying and prepares it for hulling. Sumatran coffee spends a lot less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with a lot greater water content, at times as high as 20%.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.
