FAQs

Colombian Coffee has a mild acidity and a robust caramel sweetness, possibly with a nutty undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffees. They have the most distinct coffee taste in North America, that of sweet & medium-bodied.

It is possible to make strong Colombian coffee compared to other coffee. The strength of the coffee can be altered by the processing, roasting & brewing process. Thus, Colombian coffee is only stronger if it is prepared to be strong.  Higher amounts of lower-quality beans make a bitter brew, but Colombian coffee keeps its flavour profile even when pushed via more rigorous and vigorous brewing methods.

These coffee beans produce a drink that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the taste profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the finest on the globe. Colombia has a long history of culturing Arabica beans, and their particular topography makes it ideal for producing a tastey, high quality coffee bean. The coffee is known worldwide for its taste & the distinct mild but rich aroma that rises from each cup. That may explain why they have been cultivating coffee for about 200 years, & it’s been their biggest export for the majority of that period.

Most people consider Costa Rican coffee as the best in Central America. Elevation classes are assigned to Costa Rican beans, with the best rated beans cultivated at the highest altitude. These beans are referred to as “strictly high grown”.

In a little saucepan, boil water and panela. Panela is a product that is made from sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is sold in blocks or grated and the flavour is similar to that of brown sugar. Decrease heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, occasionally stirring to melt panela.

In a tiny French press, place the ground coffee. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it reaches the top of the French press.

allow it to stand for four minutes, stirring once during the time. Push down the French press & pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee beans are most suited for a dark roast.  This as a result of the fuller, floral flavour, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are just as tasty. While retaining the bean’s taste, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The flavours & aromas of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s cultivating conditions & processes make it thought to be the best by a lot of people, especially because of its distinct flavour. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce tasty coffee with excellent quality at high elevations. They are then prepared natually on small farms by hand. The higher elevation produces a nicer tasting bean. Due to its favourable climatic attributes, Colombia coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, and chocolaty flavour.

The caffeine content of Colombian coffee is comparable to that of other coffee types. The caffeine concentration of a dark roast coffee is a little bit higher than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor & may not be noticable. Depending on the sub-variety & degree of roasting, high-quality Colombian Arabica coffee contains 30-50 milligrams per single espresso serving and up to 200 milligrams in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian coffee beans are among the most renound & popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied taste which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more known for their robust and balanced tastes than for their particular flavour profile. Guatemala coffee is also quite tasty coffee.

    • The hulling process

Colombian coffee beans are dried under the sun for a few days or until the moisture content gets to around ten%. This aids in the bean’s drying and preps it for hulling. Sumatran coffee spends far less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with significantly greater water content, sometimes as high as twenty percent.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee region, is known as the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa area in the rural area of Colombia. It is famous for farming the biggest amount of Colombian coffee.
