FAQs

Colombian Coffee has a mild acidity & a robust caramel sweetness, possibly with a nut undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffee. They have the most well known coffee flavour in North America, that of sweet and medium-bodied.

It is possible to produce stronger Colombian coffee compared to non-Colombian coffee types. The strength of the coffee is influenced by the processing, roasting and brewing process. Therefore, Colombian coffee is just strong if it is made to be strong.  Increased percentage of lower-quality beans result in a bitter coffee, yet Colombian coffee keeps its flavour integrity even when pushed via more rigorous & vigorous brewing methods.

These beans provide a taste that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, and dark chocolate in the taste profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the finest on the globe. Colombia has a long history of producing Arabica coffee beans, and their specific topography makes it perfect for making a delicious, high-quality bean. The coffee is known accross the world for its taste & the destinctive mild but rich aroma that rises from each brew. That could explain why they have been exporting coffee for about 200 years, and it’s been their highest export for most of that time.

Most people consider Costa Rican coffee as the best in Central America. Altitude ratings are assigned to Costa Rican beans, with the highest-rated beans produced at the highest elevation. These beans are called strictly hard beans”.

In a little saucepan, boil water and panela. Panela is a product that is made from sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is sold in blocks or grated & the taste is similar to that of brown sugar. Decrease heat to low & cook for 30 minutes, stir occationally to melt panela.

In a tiny French press, put the ground coffee. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it reaches the brim of the French press.

allow it to stand for 4 minutes, stirring once during the time. Push down the French press & pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee is most suited for a dark roast.  This as a result of the fuller, floral flavour, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are equally flavourful. While retaining the bean’s flavour, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The flavours and aromas of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s producing conditions & processes make it thought to be the best by a lot of people, especially because of its distinct taste. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce tasty coffee with great quality at higher altitudes. They are then processed natually on small farms by hand. The higher altitude makes for a better tasting bean. Because of its favourable climatic conditions, Colombian coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, & chocolaty taste.

The caffeine content of Colombian coffee is comparable to that of other coffee beans. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is slightly higher than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor & may not be noticable. Depending on the sub-variety and amount of roasting, high quality Colombian Arabica coffee has 30-50 mg per single espresso serving and up to 200 mg in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian beans are among the most well-known and popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied flavour that is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust & balanced tastes than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also very tasty coffee.

    • The hulling process

Colombian coffee beans are dried benith the sun over a few days or until the water amount reaches about 10%. This helps in the bean’s drying and preps it for hulling. Sumatran coffee spends a lot less time in the sunshine. Sumatran coffee is hulled with a lot higher moisture amount, at times as high as 20%.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.
