FAQs

Colombian Coffee provides a mild acidity and a robust caramel sweetness, possibly with a nut undertone, similar to high quality Peruvian coffee beans. Colombian coffee beans have the most identifiable coffee flavour in North America, being sweet and medium bodied.

It is possible to produce strong Colombian coffee compared to non-Colombian coffee types. The strength of the coffee is determined by the processing, roasting and brewing methods. Therefore, Colombian coffee is only stronger if it is prepared to be stronger.  Higher amounts of lower-quality beans result in a bitter coffee, but Colombian coffee maintains its flavour integrity even when pushed via more rigorous and vigorous brewing processes.

Colombian beans produce a drink that is smooth, balanced, & light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the flavour profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the best in the world. Colombia has a long history of producing Arabica beans, and their particular topography makes it perfect for producing a tastey, top quality beverage. The coffee is renowned accross the globe for its taste & the destinctive mild but rich aroma which comes from each cup. That could explain why they have been cultivating coffee for about 200 years, and it’s been their biggest export for the majority of that period.

Most people regard Costa Rican coffee as the top one in Central America. Altitude ratings are given to Costa Rican beans, with the highest rated beans farmed at the highest elevation. These beans are known as strictly hard beans”.

In a little pot, bring water and panela to a boil. Panela is a product that is produced from sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is marketed in blocks or grated and the flavour is similar to that of brown sugar. Reduce heat to low and cook for 30 minutes, stir occationally to melt panela.

In a tiny French press, put the ground coffee beans. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the brim of the French press.

Brew for four minutes, stirring only once. Push down the French press & pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee is most suited for a dark roast.  This as a result of the fuller, floral taste, however light roasts made from Colombian beans are just as flavourful. While keeping the bean’s taste, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The tastes and aromas of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s cultivating conditions and processes make it thought to be the best by many people, particually due to its distinct flavour. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce tasty coffee with great quality at high altitudes. They are then prepared natually on small farms by hand. The high altitude produces a better tasting bean. Because of its favourable meteorological characteristics, Colombia coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, and chocolaty flavour.

The caffeine concentration of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffee varieties. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is a little bit higher than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor & may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety & degree of roasting, top quality Colombian Arabica coffee contains 30-50 milligrams per single espresso serving and up to 200 mg in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian coffee beans are among the most renound & popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied flavour which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust & balanced flavours than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also quite tasty coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried benith the sun over a few days or until the water amount reaches about ten percent. This aids in the bean’s drying and preps it for hulling. Sumatran coffee spends a lot less time in the sunshine. Sumatran coffee is hulled with a lot greater moisture amount, at times as much as 20%.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.
