FAQs

Colombian Coffee provides a mild acidity & a robust caramel sweetness, occationally with a nut undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffee. Colombian coffee beans have the most distinct coffee flavour in North America, that of sweet & medium-bodied.

It is possible to produce strong Colombian coffee in comparison to other coffee. The strength of the coffee is determined by the processing, roasting and brewing methods. Therefore, Colombian coffee is just strong if it is made to be stronger.  Higher percentage of lower quality beans produce a bitter coffee, but Colombian coffee maintains its taste profile even when pushed via more rigorous and vigorous brewing processes.

These beans produce a cup that is smooth, balanced, & light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the taste profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the best in the world. Colombia has a long history of producing Arabica beans, and their specific topography makes it ideal for making a tastey, top quality coffee bean. The coffee is renowned worldwide for its flavour and the distinct mild but rich aroma that comes from each cup. That may explain why they have been exporting coffee for ~200 years, and it’s been their highest export for the majority of that period.

Many people regard Costa Rican coffee as the top one in Central America. Altitude ratings are given to Costa Rican beans, with the highest-rated beans farmed at the highest altitude. These beans are known as strictly hard beans”.

In a small saucepan, bring water and panela to a boil. Panela is a product that is made with sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is marketed in blocks or grated and the flavour is similar to that of brown sugar. Decrease heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, occasionally stirring to melt panela.

In a small French press, place the ground coffee beans. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the brim of the French press.

allow it to stand for 4 min, stirring only once. Plunge the French press & pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee is best as a dark roast.  This because of the fuller, floral flavour, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are just as flavourful. While keeping the bean’s taste, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The flavours and smells of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s farming conditions & processes make it thought to be the best by a lot of people, especially due to its distinct taste. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce flavourful coffee with outstanding quality at higher altitudes. They are then processed natually on little farms by hand. The high elevation produces a nicer tasting bean. Due to its favourable meteorological characteristics, Colombia coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, & chocolaty flavour.

The caffeine concentration of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffees. The caffeine concentration of a dark roast coffee is a little bit greater than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is small and may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety and degree of roasting, top quality Colombian Arabica coffee has 30-50 milligrams per each espresso serving and up to 200 mg in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian beans are among the most renound & popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied taste which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust and balanced tastes than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also very tasty coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried under the sun over a few days or until the moisture amount reaches about ten percent. This helps in the bean’s drying & prepares it for hulling. Sumatran coffee stays a lot less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with significantly greater moisture amount, at times as high as 20%.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee area, is called the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa area in the regional area of Colombia. It is renound for growing the most of Colombian coffee.
