FAQs

Colombian Coffee exhibits a mild acidity & a robust caramel sweetness, occationally with a nutty undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffee beans. They have the most well known coffee flavour in North America, that of sweet and medium-bodied.

It is possible to produce stronger Colombian coffee compared to other coffee types. The strength of the coffee will depend on the processing, roasting and brewing methods. Thus, Colombian coffee is just strong if it is made to be stronger.  Increased percentage of lower-quality beans result in a bitter brew, yet Colombian coffee keeps its flavour profile even when pushed via more rigorous & vigorous brewing processes.

Colombian beans make a taste that is smooth, balanced, & light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the flavour profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the best anywhere. Colombia has a long history of growing Arabica coffee beans, and the country’s specific topography makes it ideal for producing a delicious, top quality brew. The coffee is renowned worldwide for its flavour and the distinct mild but rich aroma that comes from each brew. That could explain why they have been exporting coffee for ~200 years, & it’s been their highest export for the majority of that period.

Most people consider Costa Rican coffee as the top one in Central America. Altitude classes are given to Costa Rican beans, with the highest-rated beans cultivated at the highest elevation. These beans are named “strictly high grown”.

In a little pot, bring water & panela to a boil. Panela is a product that is produced from sugarcane, it is sweet & brown, is sold in blocks or grated and the flavour is similar to that of brown sugar. Reduce heat to low & cook for 30 minutes, stir occationally to melt panela.

In a little French press, place the ground beans. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the brim of the French press.

Brew for 4 minutes, stirring once during the time. Push down the French press & pour the coffee straight away.

Colombian coffee is best as a dark roast.  This because of the fuller, floral flavour, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are just as delicious. While retaining the bean’s taste, cocoa & caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The tastes and aromas of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s producing conditions & processes make it thought to be the best by a lot of people, especially due to its distinct flavour. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce tasty coffee with outstanding quality at higher altitudes. They are then prepared natually on small farms by hand. The high elevation makes for a nicer tasting bean. Due to its favourable meteorological characteristics, Colombia coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, & chocolaty taste.

The caffeine concentration of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffee types. The caffeine concentration of a dark roast coffee is slightly more than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is small & may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety and degree of roasting, high quality Colombian Arabica coffee contains 30-50 milligrams per each espresso serving and up to 200 mg in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian coffee beans are among the most well-known and popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied flavour that is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more known for their robust & balanced tastes than for their particular flavour profile. Guatemala coffee is also very good coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried benith the sun over a few days or until the moisture amount reaches around ten percent. This helps in the bean’s drying & prepares it for hulling. Sumatran coffee spends far less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with substantially greater water amount, at times as much as twenty percent.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee region, is named the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa area in the rural area of Colombia. It is renound for growing the biggest amount of Colombian coffee.
