FAQs

Colombian Coffee has a mild acidity & a robust caramel sweetness, possibly with a nut undertone, similar to high quality Peruvian coffees. They have the most well known coffee taste in North America, that of sweet & medium-bodied.

It is possible to make stronger Colombian coffee compared to other coffee types. The strength of the coffee is determined by the processing, roasting and brewing process. Therefore, Colombian coffee is just strong if it is made to be strong.  Higher amounts of lower quality beans produce a bitter brew, yet Colombian coffee maintains its flavour profile even when pushed via more rigorous and vigorous brewing processes.

Colombian beans provide a taste that is smooth, balanced, & light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the taste profile.

Colombian coffee is among one the finest anywhere. Colombia has a long history of farming Arabica coffee beans, & the country’s particular topography makes it ideal for making a tastey, high quality bean. The coffee is renowned accross the world for its flavour & the distinct mild but rich aroma that rises from each brew. This could explain why they have been cultivating coffee for about 200 years, and it’s been their biggest export for most of that time.

Many people regard Costa Rican coffee as the top one in Central America. Altitude ratings are assigned to Costa Rican beans, with the highest rated beans cultivated at the greatest altitude. These beans are referred to as strictly hard beans”.

In a little saucepan, boil water and panela. Panela is a product that is made from sugarcane, it is sweet & brown, is marketed in blocks or grated and the taste is similar to that of brown sugar. Decrease heat to low & cook for 30 min, stir occationally to melt panela.

In a little French press, put the ground beans. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the brim of the French press.

Brew for 4 minutes, stirring only once. Plunge the French press & pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee is most suited for a dark roast.  This due to the fuller, floral flavour, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are just as tasty. While retaining the bean’s taste, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The tastes & aromas of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s cultivating conditions & processes make it thought to be the best by a lot of people, particually due to its distinct flavour. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce flavourful coffee with great quality at high altitudes. They are then processed natually on little farms by hand. The high elevation makes for a better tasting bean. Because of its favourable climatic attributes, Colombian coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, & chocolaty taste.

The caffeine content of Colombian coffee is comparable to that of other coffee types. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is a little bit greater than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor & may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety & amount of roasting, top quality Colombian Arabica coffee contains 30-50 mg per each espresso serving and up to 200 milligrams in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian beans are among the most renound & popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied taste which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust and balanced flavours than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also quite good coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried benith the sun for a few days or until the water amount gets to around 10%. This aids in the bean’s drying & preps it for hulling. Sumatran coffee spends a lot less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with a lot greater moisture content, sometimes as high as twenty percent.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee area, is known as the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa area in the rural area of Colombia. It is renound for producing the majority of Colombian coffee.
