FAQs

Colombian Coffee provides a mild acidity & a robust caramel sweetness, possibly with a nut undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffee beans. Colombian coffee beans have the most identifiable coffee flavour in North America, that of sweet and medium-bodied.

It is possible to make strong Colombian coffee compared to non-Colombian coffee. The strength of the coffee is influenced by the processing, roasting and brewing methods. Therefore, Colombian coffee is just strong if it is made to be stronger.  Higher amounts of lower-quality beans produce a bitter coffee, yet Colombian coffee keeps its taste profile even when pushed via more rigorous & vigorous brewing methods.

These beans produce a flavour that is smooth, balanced, & light in body. There can be also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the flavour profile.

Colombian coffee is among one the finest on the globe. Colombia has a long history of farming Arabica coffee, & the country’s specific topography makes it ideal for making a delicious, top quality beverage. The coffee is known worldwide for its taste & the destinctive mild but rich aroma which comes from each cup. This may explain why they have been cultivating coffee for about 200 years, & it’s been their biggest export for most of that period.

Many people consider Costa Rican coffee as the best in Central America. Altitude classes are given to Costa Rican beans, with the highest rated beans produced at the highest altitude. These beans are known as “strictly firm beans”.

In a small saucepan, bring water and panela to a boil. Panela is a product that is produced with sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is sold in blocks or grated and the flavour is similar to that of brown sugar. Reduce heat to low & simmer for 30 minutes, stir occationally to melt panela.

In a tiny French press, place the ground coffee. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the brim of the French press.

allow it to stand for four min, stirring only once. Push down the French press & pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee beans are most suited for a dark roast.  This as a result of the fuller, floral taste, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are just as delicious. While retaining the bean’s taste, cocoa & caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The tastes & smells of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s cultivating conditions and processes make it considered to be the best by a lot of people, especially due to its distinct taste. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce tasty coffee with great quality at higher altitudes. They are then prepared natually on small farms by hand. The higher altitude produces a nicer tasting bean. Due to its favourable climatic conditions, Colombia coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, & chocolaty flavour.

The caffeine concentration of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffees. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is slightly higher than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor and may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety and degree of roasting, high quality Colombian Arabica coffee contains 30-50 mg per single espresso serving and up to 200 milligrams in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian beans are among the most renound & popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied flavour that is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more known for their robust & balanced tastes than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also very tasty coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried under the sun for a few days or until the moisture content gets to about ten percent. This helps in the bean’s drying & prepares it for hulling. Sumatran coffee stays a lot less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with substantially greater water amount, sometimes as high as 20%.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee region, is called the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa region in the rural area of Colombia. It is famous for growing the most of Colombian coffee.
