FAQs

Colombian Coffee provides a mild acidity & a robust caramel sweetness, often with a nutty undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffee beans. They have the most distinct coffee flavour in North America, being sweet and medium bodied.

It is possible to produce strong Colombian coffee in comparison to other coffee. The strength of the coffee is determined by the processing, roasting and brewing methods. Thus, Colombian coffee is just stronger if it is prepared to be strong.  Increased amounts of lower quality beans produce a bitter brew, but Colombian coffee maintains its flavour integrity even when pushed via more rigorous and vigorous brewing methods.

Colombian coffee beans provide a taste that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the taste profile.

Colombian coffee is among one the finest on the globe. Colombia has a long history of culturing Arabica coffee, & their specific topography makes it perfect for producing a delicious, high quality drink. The coffee is renowned worldwide for its flavour & the distinct mild but rich aroma that rises from each cup. That could explain why they have been cultivating coffee for about 200 years, and it’s been their biggest export for most of that period.

Many people consider Costa Rican coffee as the best in Central America. Altitude ratings are assigned to Costa Rican beans, with the highest-rated beans farmed at the greatest altitude. These beans are referred to as strictly hard beans”.

In a little pot, bring water & panela to a boil. Panela is a product that is made from sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is marketed in blocks or grated and the taste is like that of brown sugar. Reduce heat to low and cook for 30 minutes, occasionally stirring to melt panela.

In a little French press, place the ground coffee. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it reaches the top of the French press.

allow it to stand for 4 min, stirring once during the time. Push down the French press & pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee beans are most suited for a dark roast.  This due to the fuller, floral taste, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are just as tasty. While retaining the bean’s flavour, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The flavours and smells of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s producing conditions and processes make it considered to be the best by many people, particually due to its distinct flavour. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce flavourful coffee with excellent quality at higher altitudes. They are then prepared natually on little farms by hand. The high elevation makes for a better tasting coffee bean. Due to its favourable meteorological characteristics, Colombia coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, & chocolaty taste.

The caffeine concentration of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffees. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is slightly greater than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor and may not be noticable. Depending on the sub-variety & amount of roasting, high-quality Colombian Arabica coffee has 30-50 mg per single espresso serving and up to 200 mg in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian beans are among the most renound & popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied taste which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust and balanced tastes than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also very tasty coffee.

    • The hulling process

Colombian coffee beans are dried benith the sun for a few days or until the moisture content gets to about ten%. This aids in the bean’s drying and preps it for hulling. Sumatran coffee spends a lot less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with significantly greater moisture content, sometimes as much as 20%.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee area, is called the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa region in the rural area of Colombia. It is renound for culturing the most of Colombian coffee.
