FAQs

Colombian Coffee provides a mild acidity and a robust caramel sweetness, sometimes with a nutty undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian coffees. Colombian coffee beans have the most distinct coffee flavour in North America, being sweet & medium bodied.

It is possible to produce stronger Colombian coffee in comparison to other coffee types. The strength of the coffee is influenced by the processing, roasting and brewing methods. Thus, Colombian coffee is just strong if it is made to be stronger.  Increased amounts of low quality beans make a bitter brew, but Colombian coffee maintains its taste profile even when pushed via more rigorous & vigorous brewing methods.

Colombian beans produce a taste that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There can be also overtones of fruit, almonds, and dark chocolate in the taste profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the best on the globe. Colombia has a long history of cultivating Arabica coffee, & the country’s specific topography makes it ideal for making a delicious, high quality bean. The coffee is known worldwide for its taste and the destinctive mild but rich aroma that rises from each brew. This may explain why they have been cultivating coffee for about 200 years, & it’s been their highest export for most of that period.

Most people consider Costa Rican coffee as the best in Central America. Elevation ratings are assigned to Costa Rican beans, with the highest-rated beans cultivated at the greatest elevation. These beans are known as strictly hard beans”.

In a little saucepan, boil water and panela. Panela is a product that is made from sugarcane, it is sweet & brown, is sold in blocks or grated and the taste is similar to that of brown sugar. Reduce heat to low & cook for 30 min, stir occationally to melt panela.

In a tiny French press, put the ground coffee. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it reaches the top of the French press.

Brew for four min, stirring once during the time. Plunge the French press and pour the coffee straight away.

Colombian coffee beans are most suited for a dark roast.  This as a result of the fuller, floral taste, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are equally delicious. While retaining the bean’s taste, cocoa & caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The flavours & smells of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s producing conditions & processes make it thought to be the best by many people, particually due to its distinct taste. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce tasty coffee with excellent quality at higher altitudes. They are then processed natually on small farms by hand. The high altitude makes for a nicer tasting bean. Because of its favourable meteorological attributes, Colombian coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, & chocolaty flavour.

The caffeine content of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffees. The caffeine concentration of a dark roast coffee is a little bit greater than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor & may not be noticable. Depending on the sub-variety and degree of roasting, high quality Colombian Arabica coffee contains 30-50 mg per single espresso serving and up to 200 mg in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian beans are among the most well-known and popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied flavour which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust & balanced tastes than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also very tasty coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried under the sun for a few days or until the water content gets to about ten%. This aids in the bean’s drying & prepares it for hulling. Sumatran coffee stays a lot less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with a lot greater water amount, at times as high as 20%.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.
