FAQs

Colombian Coffee provides a mild acidity and a robust caramel sweetness, sometimes with a nutty undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian beans. Colombian coffee beans have the most distinct coffee flavour in North America, that of sweet & medium bodied.

It is possible to make stronger Colombian coffee in comparison to non-Colombian coffee. The strength of the coffee is determined by the processing, roasting and brewing methods. Thus, Colombian coffee is only stronger if it is made to be strong.  Increased proportions of lower quality beans make a bitter coffee, yet Colombian coffee keeps its taste integrity even when pushed via more rigorous & vigorous brewing methods.

Colombian beans produce a drink that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There are also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the flavour profile.

Colombian coffee is among one the finest anywhere. Colombia has a long history of cultivating Arabica coffee, and their specific topography makes it ideal for producing a delicious, high quality drink. The coffee is renowned worldwide for its flavour & the destinctive mild but rich aroma which rises from each brew. That could explain why they have been exporting coffee for about 200 years, & it’s been their biggest export for the majority of that time.

Most people consider Costa Rican coffee as the best in Central America. Elevation classes are given to Costa Rican beans, with the best rated beans farmed at the greatest elevation. These beans are known as “strictly firm beans”.

In a small saucepan, boil water and panela. Panela is a product that is made from sugarcane, it is sweet & brown, is sold in blocks or grated and the flavour is like that of brown sugar. Decrease heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, occasionally stirring to melt panela.

In a little French press, put the ground coffee beans. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the brim of the French press.

Brew for four minutes, stirring only once. Plunge the French press & pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee beans are best as a dark roast.  This due to the fuller, floral flavour, however light roasts made from Colombian beans are equally flavourful. While keeping the bean’s flavour, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The flavours & smells of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s cultivating conditions and processes make it thought to be the best by many people, particually because of its distinct flavour. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce tasty coffee with outstanding quality at higher altitudes. They are then naturally prepared on small farms by hand. The higher altitude makes for a nicer tasting bean. Due to its favourable climatic attributes, Colombian coffee beans are a rich, somewhat fruity, & chocolaty taste.

The caffeine content of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffees. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is slightly higher than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor and may not be noticable. Depending on the sub-variety & amount of roasting, high-quality Colombian Arabica coffee has 30-50 milligrams per each espresso serving and up to 200 mg in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian coffee beans are among the most renound & popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied flavour that is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust and balanced tastes than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also very good coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried under the sun over a few days or until the moisture content reaches around ten%. This helps in the bean’s drying & preps it for hulling. Sumatran coffee stays a lot less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with significantly greater moisture content, sometimes as high as 20 percent.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee region, is called the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa area in the rural area of Colombia. It is renound for farming the most of Colombian coffee.
