FAQs

Colombian Coffee has a mild acidity and a robust caramel sweetness, occationally with a nut undertone, similar to good quality Peruvian coffee. Colombian coffee beans have the most distinct coffee taste in North America, being sweet and medium-bodied.

It is possible to produce stronger Colombian coffee in comparison to other coffee. The strength of the coffee is influenced by the processing, roasting & brewing methods. Therefore, Colombian coffee is just strong if it is made to be stronger.  Higher percentage of low quality beans make a bitter coffee, yet Colombian coffee maintains its flavour profile even when pushed via more rigorous and vigorous brewing processes.

These beans produce a cup that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There can be also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the flavour profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the finest on the globe. Colombia has a long history of culturing Arabica coffee beans, and their specific topography makes it perfect for making a tastey, high-quality drink. The coffee is renowned accross the world for its flavour and the distinct mild but rich aroma that rises from each brew. That may explain why they have been exporting coffee for about 200 years, and it’s been their biggest export for the majority of that time.

Many people consider Costa Rican coffee as the best in Central America. Elevation classes are assigned to Costa Rican beans, with the best rated beans produced at the highest altitude. These beans are called “strictly firm beans”.

In a little saucepan, bring water & panela to a boil. Panela is a product that is produced from sugarcane, it is sweet and brown, is sold in blocks or grated and the taste is like that of brown sugar. Reduce heat to low and cook for 30 minutes, occasionally stirring to melt panela.

In a small French press, place the ground coffee. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the top of the French press.

allow it to stand for four min, stirring once during the time. Plunge the French press and pour the coffee right away.

Colombian coffee beans are most suited for a dark roast.  This because of the fuller, floral flavour, but light roasts made from Colombian beans are equally delicious. While retaining the bean’s flavour, cocoa and caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The tastes and aromas of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s cultivating conditions & processes make it thought to be the best by many people, particually due to its distinct taste. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce flavourful coffee with outstanding quality at higher elevations. They are then naturally prepared on little farms by hand. The high elevation produces a better flavoured bean. Due to its favourable meteorological characteristics, Colombian coffee is a rich, somewhat fruity, & chocolaty taste.

The caffeine content of Colombian coffee is similar to that of other coffee beans. The caffeine concentration of a dark roast coffee is a little bit greater than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor & may not be noticable. Depending on the sub-variety and degree of roasting, top quality Colombian Arabica coffee contains 30-50 milligrams per single espresso serving and up to 200 milligrams in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian beans are among the most renound and popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied taste which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more known for their robust & balanced tastes than for their particular taste profile. Guatemala coffee is also very tasty coffee.

    • The hulling proceedure

Colombian coffee beans are dried benith the sun over a few days or until the moisture content reaches about 10%. This helps in the bean’s drying & prepares it for hulling. Sumatran coffee spends far less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with a lot greater water content, sometimes as much as twenty percent.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee area, is named the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa region in the rural area of Colombia. It is famous for producing the biggest amount of Colombian coffee.
