FAQs

Colombian Coffee provides a mild acidity & a robust caramel sweetness, possibly with a nut undertone, similar to higher-quality Peruvian beans. They have the most identifiable coffee taste in North America, that of sweet and medium bodied.

It is possible to produce strong Colombian coffee compared to other coffee types. The strength of the coffee is influenced by the processing, roasting and brewing process. Therefore, Colombian coffee is just stronger if it is made to be stronger.  Increased proportions of lower-quality beans produce a bitter coffee, yet Colombian coffee keeps its flavour profile even when pushed via more rigorous and vigorous brewing processes.

Colombian coffee beans make a drink that is smooth, balanced, and light in body. There can be also overtones of fruit, almonds, & dark chocolate in the flavour profile.

Colombian coffee beans are among one the finest in the world. Colombia has a long history of cultivating Arabica coffee, & the country’s specific topography makes it ideal for making a tastey, high-quality brew. The coffee is known accross the globe for its flavour & the destinctive mild but rich aroma which rises from each brew. This may explain why they have been producing coffee for ~200 years, and it’s been their biggest export for the majority of that period.

Most people regard Costa Rican coffee as the best in Central America. Elevation classes are given to Costa Rican beans, with the best rated beans cultivated at the greatest elevation. These beans are called strictly hard beans”.

In a small pot, boil water and panela. Panela is a product that is produced from sugarcane, it is sweet & brown, is marketed in blocks or grated and the flavour is like that of brown sugar. Reduce heat to low & cook for 30 min, stir occationally to melt panela.

In a little French press, place the ground coffee. Pour Aguapanela (Aguapanela or Agua de Panela translates to “panela water”) over coffee until it gets to the brim of the French press.

allow it to stand for 4 minutes, stirring only once. Push down the French press and pour the coffee straight away.

Colombian coffee beans are most suited for a dark roast.  This because of the fuller, floral taste, however light roasts made from Colombian beans are just as flavourful. While keeping the bean’s flavour, cocoa & caramel flavours are brought to the forefront. The tastes & smells of medium to dark roasts are stronger.

Colombian coffee’s producing conditions and processes make it thought to be the best by many people, particually because of its distinct flavour. Farmers of the Arabica beans produce tasty coffee with great quality at higher elevations. They are then prepared natually on small farms by hand. The high altitude produces a nicer tasting bean. Due to its favourable meteorological attributes, Colombia coffee beans are a rich, somewhat fruity, & chocolaty flavour.

The caffeine concentration of Colombian coffee is comparable to that of other coffee beans. The caffeine content of a dark roast coffee is a little bit greater than that of a light roast coffee. The difference is minor & may go unnoticed. Depending on the sub-variety & degree of roasting, high-quality Colombian Arabica coffee has 30-50 mg per single espresso serving and up to 200 milligrams in an 235ml (~8-ounce) cup.

Colombian coffee beans are among the most renound & popular in the world of coffee. They have a full-bodied flavour which is well-balanced. Guatemalan beans are more praised for their robust and balanced flavours than for their particular flavour profile. Guatemala coffee is also quite tasty coffee.

    • The hulling process

Colombian coffee beans are dried benith the sun for a few days or until the moisture content reaches around 10%. This helps in the bean’s drying & preps it for hulling. Sumatran coffee spends far less time in the sun. Sumatran coffee is hulled with substantially greater water amount, at times as much as 20 percent.

To remove the hulls, special wet hulling equipment is needed. The wet hulling equipment also allows the coffee beans to ferment, giving them a distinct flavor that you will not find anywhere.

    • Acidity and flavour

Colombian coffee has a well-balanced flavour and moderate acidity. This coffee has a bit of a bite to it, but it is not overly harsh. Because of its smooth flavour, several coffee connoisseurs consider Colombian coffee to be among the greatest in the world. Sumatran coffee has a much lower acidity level. This makes it one of the greatest coffees for acid sensitivity.

Sumatran coffee has a distinctive flavour. It has earthy undertones that set it apart from the competition. You will detect hints of bell pepper, mushrooms, and even herbs when drinking Sumatran coffee. The way the coffee is processed and the land in which it is grown contribute to this flavour.

The Colombian coffee region, is called the Coffee Triangle. It is a part of the Colombian Paisa area in the rural area of Colombia. It is renound for growing the most of Colombian coffee.
