It is unclear exactly when coffee plants were introduced to Honduras. It’s likely that it was during the late 1700’s, like with other Central American countries, however therer is no known record. Multiple sources claim 1804 as the first year that coffee was farmed at significant scale.

Since then, Honduras became the largest coffee farmer in Central America.

El Salvador
