The roast proceedure also plays a significant role in the taste characteristics of the beans. Mixing different types and roasting is both an art and science. Specialist roasters meticulously control and adjust every aspect of the roasting process to make different tastes in their beans & maintain consistency between batches of coffee. Flavour differs based on if it is a light roast, medium roast or dark roast coffee and a range of additional factors that are controlled during the process.

Darker roasts will have a much richer, bolder taste than lightly roasted beans. Light roasted coffee beans usually keep more tastes than darker roasts.
